These icons have to be placed at a specific place in your kitchen. It helps in efficiency and keeping your kitchen organized. Besides, shouldn’t a kitchen supposed to be user friendly and save for everyone in the family.
Workplace
Perhaps some of us might refer workplace as a cubicle in an office. The workplace in your kitchen is also your tabletop. Locate a workplace at least 60cm long nearby the pantry or refrigerator. You might option to put wall cabinets on top of your workplace. If you’re having problems with space for your workplace, add an island in the middle of your kitchen.
Refrigerator
Do not place the refrigerator next to the stove or any other heat appliances. Instead, it should be located nearby your workplace. Heat could cause damage to your refrigerator. Don’t forget to have a socket nearby for your plug. No more, hassle when it’s time to look for food.
Sink
Install the sink adjacent to a window for better lighting and better air circulation. Allow morning light to bring cheer to your kitchen. It should be away from the stove to prevent water from coming in contact with heat. Place the dishwasher (if you have one) next to the sink for convenience.
Stove
From baking, grilling to boiling, the stove is where you will be doing most of your cooking chores. It should be located away from windows, doors or walkway to prevent any accident and wind from blowing off the fire. Take safety measures to keep the stove away from those little ones.
