Kitchen cabinets are combination of different parts made from different materials.
Lacquered and wooden parts are sensitive towards chemicals and cleansers. Avoid using detergents with chlorine or abrasive substances. It is best to use a soft cloth damped with alcohol and water only.
Steel and aluminum parts should not be scrub but polished. Use water for normal cleaning. Liquid detergent or alcohol can be used to remove greasy stains.
Wooden parts of the cabinets are usually protected with paints to prevent absorption of humidity. Wipe wooden parts with a damp cloth with water or any other detergent suitable for wooden surface. Avoid using steel wool when cleaning laminated countertops. The laminated protective layer on countertops is also sensitive towards heat and abrasion.
Do take note that marble and granite should never be cleaned or wiped with acid detergents. Acidic substances like lime, lemon or wine spill on the surface should be wiped immediately as corrosion on marble and granite will leave a permanent stain. Waxing will be able to protect the surface of marble and granite.
