Hook them up
Not all items are necessary to be placed in the cabinets or drawers. Wouldn't it be much easier and convenient if they were just placed on your worktop?
Install railings and magnetic bars on unused walls to maximize your storage space. Small items can be hook over the bars and railings. A wire rack attached on the railing can be used to keep utensils and plates. Baskets on the worktop can be used to store dry items and fruits.
Avoid placing knives or any sharp objects on the worktop if you have kids at home. Keep them in drawers with an extra parental latch to for safety.
