The hanging cabinets
One of the simplest cabinet designs that I have ever seen is the hanging cabinet. It is also known as a swing or pendulum cabinet .The design is much similar with a swing hung on the ceiling. The cabinet only consists of thick ropes that are attached on its four sides and planks that can be made from any materials. These materials include wood, aluminum or glass.
If you need a wide storage space, attached and tie more planks onto the rope. For a unique design, use different type of planks.
Although the design of the hanging cabinets might look a little outdated, simplicity is the basic of design. If you are on a tight budget or prefer being environmental friendly, this might be the best option.
However, one might wonder how much weight these planks can hold. As a safety measure, attached ropes at different sections of the plank to increase stability.Each plank should be tied tightly on the ropes.
Remember that the hanging cabinet isn’t a swing. Never swing the cabinets or push it with force. Besides cabinets, the design of a swing is also applicable can also be applied to make tables and chairs.
