It is truly amazing that colors are part of our life. Imagine life without any color, it will be dull and ugly; the same theory applies with your kitchen. A kitchen is an on-going place throughout the year. It’s a place where you mingle with your guest, celebrate and do your daily chores from cooking to washing. Scientist found out that colors do affect our lifestyle and mood. Keep that in your thoughts while choosing the right color. It will never be a dull moment anymore in your kitchen with that settled.
The connection between color and you
What’s your favorite color; is it blue, greenish-yellow or perhaps lavender? All colors come from mixing of two or more primary colors- red, blue, yellow and green. Of course, no painting is involved in the whole process.
Red tones- Red is a contrast color that is outstanding compared to other colors.It is also called the dominant or passionate color. Use light red tones if your kitchen is small. Darker tones make space looks smaller and more cramp. Among the tones in red are cerise, amaranth, crimson and maroon.
Blue tones- Blue is a color that tells a lot about simplicity. It also brings peace and calmness to mind as it reflects about the basic in life. Blue tones like azure and denim are suitable if your kitchen workspace is big and wide. Lighter blue tones are more applicable to use in the kitchen, as darker tones tends to be duller.
Yellow tones- Bright and shine, yellow makes your kitchen more cheerful and bright. Yellow is often associated with royalties and gold. It tells about richness and joyfulness being in your kitchen. However, take note that only use light yellow as a base color as the focus on the kitchen aren’t mainly on the walls. Yellow tones like amber, mustard suits well with a little mix of orange tone.
Green tones- The word nature pops up in mind when we mention the green. Green gives as sense of countryside away from the bustle life in the city. Light green tones look more pleasant whereas darker tones look a little striking. Among the tones in green are myrtle, jade, asparagus hunters green and yellow-green. Green also reflects a sense of welcome and openness.
